***CCI Action is looking for Door Knockers and WE WANT YOU***
Do you like talking with your neighbors? Do you want to learn more about your community and what issues people care about? Do you want to help CCI Action grow our statewide people power and set the issue environment for the 2026 elections? Then you should consider knocking doors with us – and get paid!
Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund is a grassroots power-building group with a long history of engaging people in Iowa’s rural communities, small towns, and big cities, organizing working class Iowans to craft solutions and demand change. Our current organizing campaigns are focused on reducing corporate agriculture pollution and protecting Iowa’s waterways, stopping greenwashing schemes such as CO2 pipelines, pushing for a pause on new data center construction, and fully funding our state’s public schools.
Basic structure of our door knocking program:
We want to talk with thousands of Iowans on our organizing issues and what they care about in their communities, and invite them to take action with us from signing a petition, attending a meeting, putting up a yard sign, etc. We’re out knocking doors in the Des Moines area, Marshalltown, Mason City, Waterloo, Keokuk, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Grinnell, Decorah, among a handful of others.
Payment and timeframe:
CCI Action will pay $150 per door knocking shift. Shifts typically consist of approx.. 50 households in a neighborhood and take 2.5 – 3 hours to complete. Checks are issued on a weekly basis upon receipt of materials showing shifts completed.
